Classes meet once a week for 1 hour in studio or online.

MODERN MUSIC PROGRAMS
12-Month Program (45 lessons)
This program is an in-depth music production class for beginners. Students learn the following in this program.

• Learn the basics of signal flow and connect a professional digital audio recording system
  
• Learn the essentials of Reason - a digital audio workstation (DAW)
  
• Learn about sound theory
  
• Learn about sound development and sound design
  
• Learn the essential fundamentals of music theory
  
• Learn the relationship between all sounds and instruments in a music composition
  
• Observe and identify the 5 main elements in a song
  
• Review various song structure formats
  
• The relationship of tempo/bpm (beats per minute) and associated genres
  
• Learn to construct rhythmic and melodic loops
  
• Learn chords and chord progressions
  
• Understand basic music arranging and composing
  
• Learn to construct and arrange your favorite song
  
• Analog to digital sound conversion
  
• Microphone placement and recording
  
• Mix and master
